Photos for Mac

Q: Sort by oldest/newest not correct in Photos 1.5

I have an album of vacation photos which when sorted by date does not show all of the photos in correct order.

The metadata confirm that the base filenames and timestamps have small groups of photos out order.

An 'ls -lrt' in the album directory again shows that all files are in numerical and creation time order.

Photos just displays them in the wrong order.

Anyone else seen this on recent versions?

OS X El Capitan 10.11.6

Version 1.5 (370.42.0)

Digital Camera RAW 6.20 (856)

MacBook, OS X El Capitan (10.11.6)

I think I'll just have to update the time on the impacted photos.

Wonder if my camera was/is to blame!?

Maybe the "time zone issue" that I had: How to make sort "oldest first" work?

Most likely caused by a bug where when the photo time zone is different from the local time zone - changing the photo time zone can resolve that

Sorry, previous responders, but it isn't the 'time zone' issue, but it was a good shout, as I had taken the photos in Canada & Alaska and loaded the, to my MacBook on return to U.K. Tried the suggested fix but it hasn't worked.

Perhaps I need to batch update all photos in the alum though, can anyone remind me how to do that, I've tried select all and then adjust but not all photos have moved tz?

Did a batch update using 'select all' and adjusting the tz on all photos.

I still have blocks of photos out of time order!
