Q: How do I turn voicemail transcription OFF???  I hate it!

How on earth do I turn off voicemail transcription?  It is horrible.  I hate it.

    Welcome to my world. I hate it too.

    I realized it cannot be turned off, it is in beta. but you can still play the voice messages.

    If for some reason by tapping on the play button you cannot hear the voice message (it happened to me, it just would not play), you have to reset/restart your phone. Press and hold both the "home" and "sleep/wake" buttons until the Apple logo appears. Let the phone do its thing and when it comes back on line you should be able to play the voice messages. It worked for me. (Unfortunately you will still have the transcription, but at least you still have the voice option).

    Thanks.  I am not having a problem with hearing the vm.  My problem is that this feature, which apparently cannot be turned off, converts an analog message into digital then subject to hacking or interception.  We need a way to turn this off!!!  SK

    Yes, please find a way to get rid of this feature. It is horrible! My audio plays about two seconds then closes out before it's finished. Worst feature ever!!
