Q: Photos 2.0 - Removing People instead of Hiding them
I have been working with the People feature in Photos 2.0 under macOS Sierra.
While in the People library I click the Add People + icon at the bottom.
I click on a person's face and if that person does not need to be named in my library I remove all the insignificant faces (clicking the "X" on the face circle) in the photos. What this causes is a bunch of blank boxes with numbers under them when I go back to the Add Person screen. If I click the blank box nothing comes up.
I thought I would just hide these empty boxes, but was wondering if there was just a way of getting rid of the empty boxes? I looked through the help docs, but that didn't give me any information on this particular issue. I've also tried searching this community without any specific information coming for this particular situation.
Specific Steps to follow:
Launch Photos
Click People in the left side bar
Scroll to the bottom of the window on the right
Click the Add People icon with the plus symbol
Select a person you don't care to have named in your library
Click the blue Add button in the upper right corner
Double click the newly added person
Double click a photo with the unnamed person
Click the X that is on the circle around that person's face
After doing the above to all the photos with that person's face, click the back arrow in the upper left corner
Sometimes the persons face remains with a number below it, other times it turns to an empty box with numbers under it. In any case, if you click the Add icon again, you will now see blank boxes with numbers under them.
I appreciate any help on this.
