iphone 7 camera not working - black screen

I am having the same exact problem. This is very disappointing as I have been with Apple since the very first iPhone.

Along with the camera not working, the phone doesn't read my Sim Card. I got that sim replaced and still nothing, I have to keep restarting my phone until it works.

As far as the camera problem

I have tried force restarting my phone

Reset all settings

Pressed firmly around camera

Held camera icon until it started to wiggle the. Reset the phone, still nothing.

It's frustrating that I'll have to stop buying the first generation iPhone because it always has problems , I spend all this money on these phones for nothing

Same problem here, brand new iPhone 7 128gb. Dead camera, black screen.

Very disappointed by Apple reliability... Its not what it used to be.

My rear camera just went black the other day too. My forward camera still works. Hoping Apple can get a fix out soon!

I buy two 256g iPhone, one for me and one for my wife, mine three days ago started with problems at the camera. Now both cameras are dead (front and back), only I can see a black screen, I tried with different applications and is the same problem, is dead. Now I have a thousand dollars paperweight. It is sad and disappointing, after more than 6 years using apple products for reliability now I'm upset and disappointed. Customer Service tells me that is a problem with the sensor. I just hope that the second does not fail. I am completely disappointed.

Why apple is not doing anything to solve the issue, this is redeculus that we buy new iphone with problem, this black screen is a sensor issue then its a manufacturering defect.

Its a serious issue with camera on iphone 7 plus. I regret and very much disappointed.

Even after all rest the phone or reatart them is not a solution.

When I initially go to the camera it is black about 30percent of the time. But I swipe to video and then back to camera. Seems to be ok after that.

I was having the same problem, so I completely turned my phone off. When it came back on, my camera worked again.
