Q: Can Siri find duplicate files

So I have 4 different macs and I have files on all of them and I am curious if I can somehow get Siri to find the duplicates and get rid of the many duplicate files that I have. Not only do I have 4 different macs, I also have a airport time machine. Some of the files that I have, have been duplicated like 5-9 times. Just curious if there is a quick way to get rid of them all at once. Thanks for any advice.

No, unfortunately Siri isn't that advanced in AI yet. You'll have to settle for third-party applications to assist you with duplicates.

Any suggestions on those third party apps that won't put a lot of unnecessary "other" files on my oS that i don't need???? Thanks for the advice.

It depends on what specific files they are, e.g. Contacts, Photos, etc.

I don't know of specific ones for those but a rudimentary search on the internet will yield the results you're looking for. I used "delete duplicate pdf files" and a couple hits came up. Good luck!
