Q: Siri will not play songs from my music library on MacBookPro

I just upgraded to Sierra and Siri is now available to use on my MacBookPro.  However, when I ask Siri to play a song that is in my library, for example, Siri play Kiss by Prince from my music", Siri says "Sorry, "Kiss" by Prince & The Revolution isn't available for streaming.

    Siri does play my music.

    • My music is actually loaded onto my computer.  It sounds as if you are asking Siri to stream music.  I don't know if that's the issue, but that is one difference between my successful request and yours.
    • Might you have restrictions set in iTunes?  "Kiss" has explicit lyrics.

My music is also loaded on my computer.  I am not asking Siri to stream music.  I actually specifically say "Siri, play Kiss by Prince from "My Music".  I do not have any restrictions set in iTunes.

How are you asking Siri to play a song that is different than my question above?

I simply say to Siri "Play Bandstand Boogie" and the song by that name plays.

I do have iTunes open at the time.

I tried that first and had iTunes open and I received the same reply "Sorry, "Kiss" by Prince & The Revolution isn't available for streaming."  Which is why I then asked Siri to play the song from "My Music".
