Logic Pro X corrupt file: super slow playback

Sometimes when I'm working on a project I will go to Spotify, Youtube, etc to listen to other songs for the purpose of reference.

Lately, I've been having some problems (since forever) with Logic failing to output any audio AFTER I playback anything from one of these external sources and while Logic is still open.

Today the same thing happened again... Usually the fix is to just restart Logic, so I saved and closed the session. However, when I reoponed my file, the playback was about 20 bpm slower than the song's tempo (120 bpm), even though the tempo is still marked as 120 bpm.

I checked other sessions and this is the only one that was affected, so it isn't a Logic-wide problem... Obviously I tried restarting, turning interface on/off... The project is still marked as 48 kHz which is what it's supposed to be.

What happened and how can I get my session back to it's tempo? This is probably the most important session of my life (not kidding) and my latest backup is from last night... I put so much work into this today, I really, really need this session fixed.

Anyone??

Professionals that I know of use their audio interface only for Logic.... do not set your Mac system preferences to use your audio interface, it's unwise for so many reasons. Separate them, listen to online stuff using the computers built-in audio and computer speakers.

Ok, that said... on the project that's giving you problems, (the project is open)

Go to Settings/Audio and make sure your sample rate is 48kHz (if that's what you recorded at), if not, set to to 48, if Logic asks you to resample say NO!

Or

Go to your audio interface software and make sure it's set to 48kHz (if that's what you recorded at)

I'm guessing your sample rate got screwed up while listening to something online, Logic's "Settings" are saved with the project so you probably saved the project with the wrong sample rate.

Make a copy of the project file before doing anything, if it's a huge file make sure you have room.
