Can't log into App Store, iCloud, or Mail in macOS Sierra

Since upgrading to macOS 10.12 on my late-2013 MBP retina, three login problems have arisen.

1. I cannot login to iCloud. I tried logging out, rebooting, and logging back in, but the busy wheel just keeps turning; occasionally a "Verification Error: unable to reach Apple servers" error will come up, but more often then not it won't.

2. I cannot login to the App Store. Again, after having connection issues after the upgrade, I tried logging out, rebooting, and trying to log back in. Now, however, the login prompt doesn't come up, even if I go to Store > Sign In...

3. I cannot login to Mail. This is a Gmail account (IMAP). I tried removing the account entirely and re-adding, but when the little Mail window pops up to take me to my Google account, the window just keeps loading without ever successfully connecting. This is odd because I have no issues with connecting to Gmail or any other Google site (or any site period) via my web browsers.

So far, I've gone through all the steps of this thread (OS X: "Cannot connect" or "Cannot connect to the App Store. An internet connection is required" - Apple Support) but to no avail.

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X El Capitan (10.11.6)

If you have a VPN app running, quit it. If that doesn't fix it, next try:

1. Boot in safe mode (Try safe mode if your Mac doesn't finish starting up - Apple Support)

2. Open an Applications > Utilities > Terminal Window and paste the following command:

sudo rm /Library/Preferences/com.apple.apsd.plist

3. Reboot.

Do you have any net access from this system?

What happens if you boot in safe mode (see Try safe mode if your Mac doesn't finish starting up - Apple Support - yes, even though your Mac starts up ok).

Yes, my regular internet access is just fine from this MBP (I'm typing this reply on it right now in fact). Which is why the inability to connect to iCloud, the App Store, and Mail is so strange.

I had never booted into Safe Mode before, but I had no complication. I ran the command you recommended and rebooted.

So, when you were in safe mode, you didn't mention whether the problem still existed?

Oh, I see what you mean. In safe mode, the problem is exactly the same. None of those apps connect.

What happens if you setup a new user login and try using that? (How to test an issue in another user account on your Mac - Apple Support)

Problem persists. Apple ID login screen comes up during first time setup under the new account login. There was a noticeable lag for the Apple ID/password fields to load. I put in my information, wheel spun for a minute, and then returned a "Cannot connect to server" error. I skipped entering my Apple ID, and after my new desktop loads I went to Settings to try to log into iCloud from there. I also tried logging into the App Store. Same problems in both cases.

SOLVED IT. The problem was the automatic proxy I use. After upgrading to macOS Sierra, the URL of the automatic proxy had been filled in multiple times. I went to System Preferences > Network > Advanced > Proxies tab and just unchecked the automatic proxy box. Everything immediately connected after that.
