Q: No mobile coverage draining battery

I am using an iPhone 6 running iOS 10.02. Since upgrading to this version there is increased power consumption. The battery usage meter tells me that 62% of the usage is due to "No mobile coverage". I have got wifi assist turned off. Why should "no mobile coverage" increase my power consumption and is there anything I can do to stop it?

Hi
This is because it trying to find a mobile signal
Was it working before ?
Try a reboot press & hold power button & menu button hold both down until
You see apple logo this can take 30 seconds
Contact your network provider .

When you are in a place with no signal turn on Airplane mode to save battery .
