iCloud drive inconsistencies

Hi Guys,

OK So I have sierra on my mac air, icloud drive all set up nicely in finder - everything where it should be. However when i go to icloud drive on my iphone or tab non of the files in the icoud drive on my air are present? I cant even see them via icloud via the web page.

Same apple account logged in to all devices....I am confused. Dot see this issue with Dropbox or Box or whatever....I have enough storage available for all the files on iCloud...

I just cant see them across all devices.

Any suggestions? Clearly I am missing somehting but I have no idea what!
