IPhone 6s cannot import photos after update

I just updated my iPhone 6s and now Photos in the Camera Roll of iPhone cannot be imported because the device is locked with a passcode. I've trusted the computer, unplugged and reset phone and MacBook etc. nothing seems to be working? Help!

iPhone 6s, iOS 10.0.2

At some point you put a passcode on the phone. You would never need to use it if you never restart the phone and always use Touch ID.

Ive unlocked it using my passcode but it still wont work?? Very strange?
