Tutorial for creating a site using iWeb then posting elsewhere?

Hi, is there any good recommended book or website or Apple tutorial for assembling a website from iWeb then uploading/publishing it to any hosting service? Thanks a lot.

I truly don't mean to sound indifferent to your question, but really, the best source for tutorial information is right here in this forum! Everyone here is tireless in their willingness to give advice, and folks from all over the world contribute constantly to answering questions. Ask away--no such thing as a stupid question! A good source of basic information can be found in Varkgirl's FAQ. Also, see Tom Gewecke's tips on using iWeb as well, and lastly I have an iWeb Tool Chest that has some helpful links for application support.

I know this doesn't have anything to do with this topic....BUT I cannot find the "Post a New Topic" under the iWeb Forum! What's a girl to do??

You seem like you know what you are talking about on iWeb....

Do you ever have problems with PC's viewing any of your QuickTime movie clips? I tell people to have:
Latest version of QuickTime
DSL, Cable ~ High Speed Internet
Don't use Internet Explorer as a browser. I suggest Firefox or Netscape.

Even with these suggestions, many PC users are unable to view my site / movies. Any suggestions?? Thank you.

PS: any hints to where the "Post a New Topic" button could be found on the iWeb forum would be appreciated. I found one on the iPod Nano site...but they didn't appreciate my iWeb question.....

Hey Margie...

Click back to the main topic page and look towards the top part of the page where it says "Forum: iWeb". Right under it should be "Post New Topic". I think that's what you're looking for!

He has several tutorials, and FAQ on using iWeb with a host other than .mac.

Thanks for the help. I will dabble into these this weekend and start my website construction. I'll also likely pick up a book at my local Barnes & Noble store too -- nothing like having a book handy in addition to good websites.
Thanks for all the help, any advice for newbie web authoring appreciated! I did create some years ago with Frontpage for PC, but am starting over with Mac...

Thanks, I'm heading out now to look at some books.

How about any suggestions of alternative software to use for web page creation/publishing other than iWeb? I used FrontPage for a pc years ago and thought that worked well, as an example.
