Unable to see Keyboard on WhatsApp/iMessage after the ios 10 update

I am unable to send a message through WhatsApp as the keyboard is not displayed. I have two keyboards (English & Swype) for the last couple of years. I tried restarting the app, restarting the phone itself, and it didn't solve the problem. I removed the Swype keyboard (by going to Settings > General > Keyboard > Keyboards > click Edit and remove the Swype) and it solved the issue.

But I am very much used to Swype and finding it hard to go to the normal keyboard, I added the Swype keyboard back after two days and the disappearing keyboard started to appear again.

Please find a solution / if there is already one, please let me know.
