Just a general question to the other iPhone users here. Would anyone else like to see an option to have your cellular data usage meter reset automatically with every new billing cycle? This would make things immensely simpler for me to figure out how I am almost going over my data plan.

I found this thread while searching for options. I actually switched from Android to iOS because I felt that Android wasn't restrictive enough with what it let apps do (and I still feel that way, despite the tradeoffs).
I think I'm going to manually reset usage each month, because it looks like all apps have to use a VPN profile to do it, which seems excessive. I also took ChrisJ4203's suggestion and sent feedback to Apple. It'd be ideal if they just stole how Android does it, although they can lose the graphs, as they are just eye candy to me.

The only problem with that is that most everyone's billing cycle is different. That is also dependent on your provider. I think it would be difficult to program something like that into iOS, but you can let Apple know you are interested in seeing that feature by going to their feedback page here, http://www.apple.com/feedback/iPhone.html
Just let users define the starting and ending of their billing cycle. My Android device does it and it's quite accurate. It's not that hard but knowing Apple's way of doing things, it is going to be impossible because they decide what users want.
Have you considered a data / wifi / roaming tracking app? I am using 'My Data Manager' and find it very accurate (used it previously on Android and now iOS). You can set your billing periods, overage warning thresholds and it allows for shared data plans.
'My Data Manager' is centric around data (as opposed to voice minutes, text messages, etc.) as that was what I was looking for in an app; however, there are a few alternatives in the App Store ('Plan Monitor' looks good from the description).
Or, you can set a recurring reminder on the n-th of every month to manually reset the counters if you are opposed to using an app. Good luck and let us know what you decided on.
That's an option but the reply should be directed at Akira3234. I'm not looking for a solution. It would be nice to have the feature built into iOS.
