Q: cant import anymore music

I've been importing music from CDs, but for the past few weeks it won't let me. I've tried closing and reopening iTunes but that does not work

Can you describe what happens when you try? Did the change coincide with updating iTunes?

okay you know how you put the music on your computer but its not on iTunes so you have to drag the song to the "automatically add to iTunes" folder? I dragged a couple of albums to that and when I opened iTunes, the music wasn't up there.

Look inside the Automatically Add to iTunes folder. Is there a Not Added folder inside that? If there is it will contain any tracks that iTunes cannot process, e.g. .flac files. Otherwise search for a song name in the library. The tracks may be listed under compilations/various artists rather than where you're expecting to see them.
