Wireless Brother Printer Installation

I have Macbook Pro with macOS sierra. It says I have successfully installed Brother printer/scanner MFC-L2700DW. When I go to printer preferences I cannot find it installed. A year ago I was able to install this same printer to my older Macbook Pro without a hitch. This time it was different. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I'm a relative novice when it comes to inner computer machinations. T/Y
