An app called Littlebook is a Facebook app for Apple Watch. It’s 2.99 in the App Store but will allow Facebook for Apple Watch
Although there is no app, you will still receive notifications from your account.
I have had my watch since it was launched a year ago April. You will find that you will use it mainly for notifications and health tracking.
For most things like Facebook you will want to refer to my phone.

I think it's unlikely that you can speak for everyone. People have different reasons for buying an Apple Watch and different preferences. 🙂
I understand people will use the Watch fro different things. My reasoning is due to the simplicity of the OS. There is little you can do to respond/interact due to that App being so complex. There is no keyboard and there is no voice dictation yet in third party apps as these. You cannot upload photos etc.
Why do you think there is not one already?
I was implying that the reason it doesn't exist is because it would not make sense with the way you interact with the Watch. It is not that sophisticated.
Have you been in the Instagram Watch App? You can only view about 8 people in your timeline, and you cannot post. Very limited. Just refer to your phone when you get a FB notification. Trust me

It may not makes sense to you. I'm simply suggesting that you be wary of assuming that everyone else's needs, desires and perceptions are the same as yours. Doing so tends to interfere with one's ability to answer people's questions. Telling people that they way they want to use their device is wrong tends to end badly. I should know because I've made that mistake myself. More than once.
I don't have any desire to have FB on my watch (mostly because I try to avoid it in general and also because FB has a history of releasing battery sucking apps) but I do I use my Watch for texting, taking calls and staying on top of my calendar. I use it to dictate short notes to myself. I use it as a remote for speakers. If you take the time to get to know all of its features, you may find it's good for far more than just notifications and fitness. But, it's your watch and you should use it in the way that works best for you.
Best of luck.
You just validated my point. Waiting on a post would still work with simple notifications from the app. The other things you mentioned you primarily use is what I was implying the watch is better for. Advice-I would leave out your opinions most don't care about how you "feel" about FB. It is a technical forum.

I will give your advice just as much weight as you appear to be giving mine.
And I am not the one who mentioned waiting on an Instagram post. That was deggie. Though we have been known to agree on a number of things, we are not the same person.
Best of luck.
Hi
Facebook does not have an app for Apple Watch:
To install Messenger by Facebook:
Install the app on your iPhone:
On your iPhone, in the Watch app, go to: My Watch (tab) > scroll down to the list of apps and tap on Messenger > tap on Show App on Apple Watch.
More information:
Unfortunately, there is no Facebook app for an Apple Watch but it may be in the works.
You can monitor the Ap Store on your iPhone for a Facebook app for an Apple Watch.
On your iPhone tap the Watch app then tap Search bottom right corner of the screen then type in Facebook.
It's very sad! I hope they figure it out!
Because Facebook hasn't developed one.
I have the Instagram app. If I am going to surf Instagram I agree it is better on the iPhone but I find the Watch app very helpful especially when I am awaiting a post.
I apologize. I misread your post and misinterpreted it. Having a bad day. Take care
