Q: I need help reformatting a WD 6T external drive to my 13" MacBook Pro. Disk Utility won't format it. Help!!!

Mac Disk Utility can't erase the new drive, partition it. Nothing seems to work. Any suggestions from anyone?

I solved my problem ! I had to fiddle with the formats for disc utility to do its job. "Extended Journaled"  was the proper format for Disc Utility to format the new drive in. Thanks to "lillass" for contributing.
