Q: Importing all playlists

I have two partitions and two systems on one internal drive. I was able to import all my music so that the two systems share one set of music files, but none of the playlists were imported (and there are many). Instead of individually exporting/importing each playlist individually, is there a global way to sync or import these?

So, you have two different iTunes libraries (the iTunes Library.itl file), one for each system?  But they both point to the same iTunes media files (at a commonly accessible location)?  Does one system (iTunes library) have all of your playlists, which you want the other system to have?

Thanks for the reply, Kenichi! Yes, you are correct in all you said. So is there a way to ask iTunes to link to that single .itl file that's in the source music folder I want to use for both systems? And would you know if the difference in iTunes versions would create a conflict if I make any additions/adjustments using one or the other systems?

    Thanks again!

Just so it is clear, "system" usually means operating system (OSX). You have two operating systems on your computer?  You can have the entire library (media and support files sch as the .itl file) placed in a shared location, but as you observe it will not work with two different iTunes versions.  If you want to use different iTunes versions you will have to use two .itl files. Keeping them synchronized is possible but very fiddly plus some information may not transfer (e.g., ratings) unless you make it exceptionally fiddly.

Ah, ok. That's what I would have guessed. Since I don't make changes all that often, I guess I'll just make the manual changes necessary when changing from one operating system to the other. Thanks for the reply!
