Safari crash WebKit internal error iPhone

Alright. So my Safari on my iPhone 6+ is not working properly. For some time now I've not been able to use my internet browsers (including other browsers like Chrome) like I should be able to. Since I mainly use Safari, whenever I browse with Safari there's a big risk my page just automatically reloads. This is not a problem if it happens just a few times without any specific pattern. However, in my case it happens a lot. Sometimes it happens so many times in row that Safari tells me that there was a recurring problem with the website I'm trying to access. Other times it tells me that WebKit encountered an internal error. Whenever that happens I have to close that page and try again, otherwise I can just tap the "back" button and try loading the page again that way.

I have tried to search for solutions to problems like this. Many answers on posts like this keep suggesting to clear all cache and history, some say that I should tap off on Browser Suggestions and Search Engine Suggestions. Many also suggests to reboot the iPhone either by turning it off and back on again or by holding the home and power button for a few seconds. I have tried all of the above, and none of them has fixed the problem. They have however helped for short periods. Whenever my Safari really starts acting up I try to clear history and reboot by holding home and power button. This helps, but only for a day or two. After that Safari is back to crashing several times a day. It's usually not so bad that I have to reboot it every day, but it builds up to that point quite quickly.

I had this problem with iOS 9 and it has not changed a bit after updating to iOS 10. As I mentioned this constant reloading until crash is not limited to Safari. It happens in the Chrome app and whenever I open a link through the Facebook app. That's why I'm starting to think this is a straight up WebKit issue. I really don't know how to fix this problem. At this point it's so annoying I'm starting to get tired of my iPhone. I would really appreciate someone helping me out with this.

Hello possix,

Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Community. I know how important it is to keep your iPhone and its web browsers up and running and I'd like to help.

You're off to a good start with the resets you've tried, and from here what I'd recommend is resetting the settings on your iPhone. What this effectively does is reset some of your settings to factory default. This does not remove any data like apps, photos or contacts, but It removes all of your preferences for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Do Not Disturb, Notifications, General, Sounds, Touch ID, Brightness & Wallpaper and Privacy, so you may have to set those things back up after this reset.

You may still wish to backup your settings data to iTunes or iCloud before doing this reset. This link will guide you through backing up if you choose to do so: How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

To do this please go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings.

If the behavior persists, or you run into any trouble, the entire community is here to help.
Best Regards
