Checking to see if a photo is being used in an album

When editing and managing photos in the photo library, I would like to know if a particular photo is being used in one or more albums I have created. I may not want to further edit it or delete it if it is being used in an album I have created. Is there a way to see if individual photos are being used in an album crated by the user?

You can do that with this AppleScript, How to find out the albums a photo is in: Jacques Rioux's script, from the Photos for Mac User Tips page. Read the instructions carefully before using it as it requires creating an album and putting the photo in it that you want to search. Then the script will return this type of response:

You can download a compiled version of the script as an application from this tutorial site: P01 - Applescripts from Photos’ User Tips Compiled as Applications
