Oct 13, 2016 11:12 AM in response to bibiffrenchieby John Galt, they were asking for an american number
What does that mean? What number do they require?
You can certainly purchase a Mac in the United States, but if you plan on returning to France you will need to pay applicable import duties, including value-added taxes and other fees. That is in additional to any applicable US state and local taxes. A Mac sold in the United States will also be equipped with power adapters designed for the North American market. In addition to that the Mac may have regulatory differences for its wireless radio. Also, you will be ineligible for warranty coverage outside the United States.
What would you advise me to do?
Purchase a Mac manufactured for the market in which you intend to use it.
