Apple Music & iCloud Music Library.

Hi,

I have an iPhone 7 128GB running iOS 10.0.2 on a plan with Telstra where I get 12 months free Apple Music through my carrier. I'm not sure if it's linked to my account properly or not but I can stream music fine, the problem is I can't turn on iCloud music library - I turn it on in settings and 1-2 seconds later it turns itself off meaning that I can't add music to my library at all.

I have 12 or so items stored in my library permanently from a previous device, the other 50+ artists disappeared. I've tried turning apple music off and on, tried looking into it on a computer (I can play music but when I hit a certain point I get the "choose a plan" page with no option to link to my carrier like I did on my phone).

I've had the same problem from day one of getting my iPhone 7, from iOS 10.0.0 -> 10.0.2.

I have no idea how I can fix this, whether or not it's carrier related (if possible I don't want to deal with them as they're hopeless and I'm not prepared to spend hours on the phone to find out they have no solution).

Thanks,

Blake

To add to that the exact message I get is "This requires iCloud Music Library. To add songs, albums and playlits to your Library, turn on iCloud Music Library."
I press "Turn On" and I get the choice to keep music or delete & replace music. Neither of these work.

Under my Telstra account I get this: "Active Membership Complimentary membership - 28/09/2016 - 27/09/2017"
