Timecode burn in

I'm trying to export a clip with the timecode burnt in iMovie 10. Meaning I don't want to have to keep a cursor hovering over the clip when being viewed in QuickTime Player. I do not have FCP. Everything keeps mentioning the Preference option, which does not pull up anything timecode related for me, just something about a slow mo option.

Hi,

There is no timecode burn preference in current iMovie (10.1.2).

You could go on You Tube and download a timecode overlay video, something like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vcFvc31wD10

Then insert it into your movie with the Picture in Picture function. There are even green screen timecode overlays.

Also, there may be software out there that can burn a timecode into a move. You could try googling it.

Best,

Rich
