Q: Copying playlists from iPhone 7 to iTunes 12.5

The previous answers to this issue no longer work on iTunes 12

 

I am trying to copy playlists from my iPhone 7 Plus into iTunes. There is nowhere to select a playlist on the iPhone in iTunes and export to .xml, as some discussions suggest.

 

Thanks for any help on this issue!

    "Export to .xml" only creates a text file in a particular format, listing the songs on the playlist.  It's not for "copying playlists," if your desire is to transfer song files from your iPhone to your iTunes library.  Can you describe in more detail what you want to do?  What is the actual question...?

     

    When syncing songs (and playlists) TO the iPhone, do you use direct syncing from iTunes library to iPhone?  Or do you use iCloud Music Library?
