iPhone 7 screen scratches too easily

So i have been using my iPhone 7 plus Jet black for 2 weeks. i have noticed some hairline scratches on the screen already.... i have been taking good care of it and have no idea how the screen got so easily scratched. Never had a problem in the past.... I'm using a case as well, was waiting for my screen protector to arrive when i noticed this problem. So for anyone using the new iPhone 7, go get a screen protector.

I am in the same boat I have an iPhone 7 matte black phone and even though it was put in a case from day one with a 360 degree coverage it still managed to develop several hairline scratches in the screen. I have yet to have any scratches develop on my iPhone 4 with no case so I am a bit surprised to see marks on a phone that went from box to 360 degree case and yet still got scratches.

Agree - I picked up my phone Monday morning, and realized there were several hairline scratches on the screen. I just have the regular black 7 plus. Like you mention, I take care of the phone and keep it in a case; so who knows how it got scratched. This has never been an issue on any iPhone or iPad I've owned, so not sure why the 7 is prone to screen scratches. I'm going to wait; but, hopefully AppleCare covers this because it does seem like a manufacturing defect.

I can totally relate to this. I was very disappointed to find the same on my phone within hours.

My phone was pampered and already had visible scratches in first day. My iPhone 6 stayed in my pocket for two years and it's difficult to find any scratches at all.

Something is definitely different. Either cheaper glass or a coating.

Wow, I thought I was going crazy. I have never gotten a scratch on any of my I-phones before.

I picked up my 7 Plus on a Saturday night, did not even have it long

enough to completely do a full restore on it and

I notice what I thought was a crack Sunday morning.

Devastated and confused I took it back to Apple in Grand Central where

I purchased it. They told me it was not a crack but rather a scratch.

I told them I barely had the phone 24 hours. They said

maybe the keys in your pocket,(I don't put keys in my pocket, they get attached to my back pack)

He said maybe the roughness of my jeans (really!!!!??????)

I told them I wear scrubs all day (softest material) then

they said maybe a pebble. A pebble? Where is my phone going to connect with a pebble?

Get the F out!!!!!!

I am highly disappointed with the whole ordeal. My screen

now looks like an old man's wrinkled face.

Their best answer was to replace the screen for 29.00

but this is not a great option if within two weeks the scratches

are insane.

Really makes me think about choosing another brand.

Exactly. I had my iPhone 7 for 48 Hours, even with a case, I noticed tiny little hairline scratches near the bottom half of the screen. Maybe a defect batch?
