Oct 13, 2016 7:46 AM in response to Poke493by léonie,IF the message is saying "item" it could be a file that you saved Tothe camera roll from another application. Did you download photos from the web or use photo editing applications or camera apps other than the pre installed apps?

Oct 13, 2016 10:52 AM in response to léonieby Poke493,The only way I get photos into iCloud Photo Library is with my iPhone by taking photos or importing photos from my camera's SD card on my iMac, so I don't think that a photo from the web or editing app caused this. Then again, i could be forgetting, but I don't think I am.

What I meant is the following:
- You could have been using a third-party camera.app on your iPhone, like Smart Camera or similar. The third party Camera.apps can save photos in a different file format from JPEG to your camera roll, for example TIFF images with a higher photometric resolution.
- Or if you received a photo by mail or downloaded it using Safari on the iPhone and saved it to the camera roll, you might have imported a photo in an unsupported file format to the Photos.app and uploaded it to iCloud.

Oct 13, 2016 11:36 AM in response to léonieby Poke493,No, i rarely use 3rd party camera app and the last time I used any was before this issue. I do download photos from Safari, but they are always supported types, and most of the time I remove them from the library and place them in a Photostream since my main iCloud library is for person photos I've taken.

But are there still photos taken with a different camera app in your Photos Library? If yes, check all of them have downloaded to your Mac.

Oct 13, 2016 11:51 AM in response to Poke493by léonie,Do you remember which photos you took with a different camera.app? There are no metadata tags on the photos that you could search for. If you remember when you used the other camera.app, search for this date range.
