Q: Since update mail program is unstable.

Since installing the latest update the mail program has become unstable. It closes for no apparent reason. When you delete mail it seems to close but when you reopen the program some of the previous deletions reappear. Is ther a fix in the works?

iPad 2, iOS 6.0.2

    It appears that the Mail app is closing for no reason and sometimes your deleted email messages come back. Let's try some troubleshooting on your iOS device.


    Start by removing and re-adding your iCloud (or other) account from Mail using these steps from Get help with Mail on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch:

    Remove your email account and set it up again

    If you still have issues with sending and receiving email, try removing your email account from your device and then add it back again:*

    1. On your computer, sign in to your email provider’s website to verify that all of your email is there or check if your email is saved somewhere other than your iOS device.
    2. On your iOS device, tap Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
    3. Tap the email account you want to remove.
    4. Tap Delete Account.
    5. Add your account again.
