Q: intentionally not including songs

Is there a quick and easy way to NOT include songs when playing my library? I love to randomize my music library but would like to skip my kids music when possible. Don't want to delete their music and creating a playlist without their songs is time prohibitive due to the volume of songs.

Thanks!

You could uncheck them. They would still be able to play them, albeit individually.

No, not a truly speak, "Computer, don't play my kids' songs" way.

You could remove the checkmark but then the songs won't play for anybody.

You could assign all your kid's songs to a specific genre, then set up a smart playlist that includes all songs except that genre.

I am thinking it will soon be time for the kids to have their own iTunes library and even their own user accounts on your computer.
