Oct 13, 2016 12:11 PM in response to MeJonidaby javaliga,In order to use iTunes with iOS 10 you need iTunes version 12.5.1.21. Unfortunately for you the latest version of iTunes that will run on Windows XP (as you know or found out) is iTunes 12.1.3.6. In order to use your iPhone with iOS 10, you will need to upgrade your PC to at least Windows 7. I don't know of any other workaround.

Oct 13, 2016 12:15 PM in response to MeJonidaby ChrisJ4203,Unfortunately, no one supports Windows XP any longer, not even Microsoft. Support ended over a year ago, and that system is very vulnerable to security issues. I suggest you replace it as soon as you can. Keeping that device connected to the internet as needed for iTunes and other online content, is a severe risk.
As javaliga has said, iOS 10.x requires the latest version of iTunes, and that will only run on Windows 7 or above. At this point, you may even have difficulty upgrading your current computer to Windows 7, you would probably have to update the entire system.

Oct 13, 2016 12:31 PM in response to MeJonidaby turingtest2,A possible workaround if you're not prepared to upgrade your computer right now would be a subscription to iTunes Match. Media in your iTunes library would then be available to download directly to the device over Wi-Fi.
