Stuck in uploading xxx Items in icloud Photo Library for macOS Sierra

Hello,

I've upgraded my iMac to macOS Sierra, and I've decided to move my photos to iCloud Photo Library. First of all I upgraded my iCloud account to 200Gb plan, and I've configured Photos mac app to upload the items.

It started working ok, but now it is stuck on Upliading 390 Items, but it never finishes. I've restartes the program and the computer several times, with no luck. I've searched across comunities, trying to find a soluction, or at least, some troubleshooting tips, withous success. I would like to know if the system is stuck on a particular item, or is a general wrong behaviour with my computer or my library.

Do you know how to troubleshoot this?

Albert, try if the Console.app can show any clue to what is going on.

Launch Console.app from Applications > Utilities.
Then type cloudphotosd into the search filed and select "Diagnostic and Usage data" in the sidebar.

Are there any current messages from the cloudphotosd process that are showing a problem?

I would like to know if the system is stuck on a particular item, or is a general wrong behaviour with my computer or my library.

The upload might be choking on a particular item that cannot be uploaded. Only, that is very hard to track down.

It might be videos with a codec. that cannot be converted (watch for video conversion listed in the Console), or to might be image files with an unsupported color profile, scanned image files in an unsupported format.

thank you very much for your reply. I've tried this, but I have not seen anything that gaves me an clear error.

I've finally re-created the Photos library from scratch in my iMac, and its really very slow (is an Late 2009 iMac, Core2Duo, althoug with 12Gb of RAM and 3Tb Hard Disk) and sometimes seems stuck with no pattern. In my 11" 2011 MacBook Air, with an USB disk it works fine.

Thus, I think is a problem of the iMac hardware capabilities. What no I am doing is upload the photos/videos with the MacBook Air, and download them in the iMac to have a local copy of the files.

I also tried this. Although I don't know how to read the reports, it does seem like something is wrong with iCloud photos since I see many crash reports occurring every minute.
