Q: compilation artists

After the most recent iTunes update (12.5.1), compilation albums played on my iPhone 6 no longer show the artists.  I've tried checking "show composer in all views", listing composer as mixed, various, and left empty.  The artists are all listed in the albums in iTunes.  Before the update, artists were visible under the song title.  About half of my library is comprised of compilation albums.  Very Frustrating!

    The show composer in all views option is primarily intended for classical music. I'm not certain that it carries over to the iPhone. My compilations are behaving properly on the iPhone where the track Artist is listed below the song name where the Artist differs from Album Artist. When viewing the library there is a small block at the bottom with artwork, song name, pause and fast forward buttons. This doesn't show the artist.
