Q: Updating to OS Sierra broke my mac...

i was updating my MacBook Air like normal and when the time came to restart my mac I accepted and when I tried putting in my password I'd get this screen.. I hope that image works, if not let me know please. I need this to get fixed

Try the following:

Unplug all external devices, such as USB connected devices, and try again
Attempt to boot "Safe Mode": Try safe mode if your Mac doesn't finish starting up - Apple Support
- If you can log in, read If an issue doesn't happen in safe mode
Reinstall macOS: How to reinstall macOS - Apple Support

It is almost impossible to read the image you posted but it appears to be a kernel panic. These are generally caused by hardware problems.

See if something from the site linked below helps you resolve your problem.

I have and to be honest it hasn't helped much. I'm also not too keen on poking around the inside of my mac seeing as i'm inexperienced.
