Q: how do I disable iCloud on one of my devices

I have a MacBook Air. Somehow, I'm on iCloud and my files from my main iMac are loading on to my laptop.

I don't want them to sync. I would like to keep my laptop free of my personally files so I can let anyone use

the laptop, grandchildren, friends, house guests etc. I would actually like to start over and clear the whole computer.

How do I do this?

Mac Mini, Mac OS X (10.4.8), MacBook

I would simply sign out of iCloud on the laptop.

iCloud: Use iCloud.com

As the article says, "To prevent anyone from viewing your information while you’re away from your computer, you can sign out."
