Is there no way of upgrading Mavericks to Yosemite?
Can't go further for software compatibility but need to go that far for the same reasons

If you previously got Yosemite from the Mac App Store, sign into it with the same Apple ID and redownload it from the Purchases tab.
If not, go to a physical Apple Store and ask for it.

You can upgrade to El Capitan instead, by following this link: https://itunes.apple.com/app/os-x-el-capitan/id1147835434
You may be able to get Yosemite by going to an Apple Store and explaining your compatibility requirements.
Thanks Niel. Haven't had it before...although my daughter has...maybe I'll set her up as a user and try it from her account.
Apple store wouldn't let me leave the store with a physical copy (FFS!)..Company Policy..Which means I can't spend £150 and buy Logic Pro X
Thanks Kahjot...No unfortunately. They Suggested I brought my Mac Pro 2012 in and queued up to see t a "Genius"
That's not a Pro answer...I need it working by tomorrow and don't have the time or inclination to lug it about to a shopping centre.
I have Pro Tools 10HD and Avid hardware worth £10k that won't work at that level so can't go beyond Yosemite
