How to delete Guest (user) on iMac Sierra OS

Upgraded to Sierra. Fine, until I got the iphone7 and I must have done something in there. Now all of a sudden there's me and Guest as well...want to delete guest. I've read some of the posts that have issues like mine. The answers given didn't work. Users and groups under preferences-then, when I click on Guest, it's greyed out. I can't do anything with this.

iMac, iOS 10.0.2

That usually means that the Guest User account is logged in. Click on your name in the top right-hand side of the status bar, and see if the Guest User is showing a check mark next to it. If it is, click on the Guest User account and once it opens click on the , then on the Log Out option to log it out.

Then go back to your account, and you should then be able to remove the Guest User once you unlock the options under Users & Groups.

Cheers,
