Q: Will it harm the watch series 2 if i forgot to water lock it during shower?

Do i have to switch the water lock during shower?will it harm the watch if its not water lock?

Hi

 

No - it is not necessary to enable Water Lock before showering whilst wearing Apple Watch Series 2.

 

However, enabling Water Lock first would lock the screen, preventing accidental screen interactions.

 

Otherwise, to manually clear water from the speaker after the watch gets wet:

 

  • Swipe up on the bottom of the watch face to open Control Center > tap on Water Lock > turn the Digital Crown to immediately unlock the screen again and clear any water from inside the speaker.

    Keep in mind that Apple recommends that your watch should not be exposed to soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotion or perfume, as this can negatively affect the watch's water seals and acoustic membranes.

     

    The watch should also be cleaned with fresh water and dried with a nonabrasive, lint free-cloth after coming into contact with anything other than fresh water.
