Turn on journaling in 10.11 on software RAID
I use Pro Tools on my Mac Pro for music creation. The User Guide recommends that journaling is enabled for better performance.
I've recently done a clean install of El Capitan on my boot up drive and so I selected OS X Extended Journaled as the volume format.
I have two other volumes on the Mac which were formatted prior to installing El Capitan. One appears to be journaled (when I select it in the Disk Utility list and click the info tab). The other volume is a software RAID which appears non- journaled. When I have selected it in the disk utility, the option to enable journaling is greyed out in the file menu.
So, how can I turn on journaling in El Capitan on a software RAID?
I don't want to reformat the RAID as I understand that software RAID creation is no longer available via Disk Utility
Thanks for any help.
