Maps on iPad Pro running very slow or not at all.

I Am finding Maps on my iPad Pro fails to load a map at all. I can't be an intErnest connection problem as have put the same search location on my old iPad and the new iPad Pro. The old ipad comes up with the map instantly yet the map on the iPad Pro fails to load. Any ideas? Could it be. A programming bug?

Thank you for using the Apple Support Communities. I know having an issue with Maps on your iPad Pro is not what you expect. The good news is the following steps will be helpful in resolving your issue. First, try force closing the Maps app and restart your iPad Pro as the shut down and start up process is important to keep the iOS software running properly. Then test your issue again.


Force an app to close on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch


If your issue is still not resolved, I would suggest removing and re-adding the Maps app, since the Maps app can be reinstalled.


Remove built-in Apple apps from the Home screen on your iOS device with iOS 10
If an app you installed unexpectedly quits, stops responding, or won’t open
