Q: Why is my find my friends Apple ID different from my signed in iCloud?

So my find my friends app in the "Me" section has an option as to send invitations... but it wants to send the invitation as a completely different email from my Apple ID that I am signed in as. Before you ask, it says I'm signed in as this different email at the bottom of the screen. I tried signing out of my iCloud and any possible account but when i sign in as my Apple ID, it remains that different email. Does anyone have any insight on this?

iPhone 7 Plus, iOS 10.0.2

Do you recognize this "different" Apple ID? Did it belong to you previously or someone you might've known?

yes, I forgot to mention, the different email, was my previous Apple ID. I had since changed it to my current one. but it has been quite a while about a year

The only way to get rid of it (or not see it under the Find My Friends app) is to log out (completely) from your device using that old Apple ID and password, and also logging out of Find My iPhone as well.
