Q: iMac runs way too slow + EtreCheck inside
hey all,
when using Adobe illustrator or final cut - everything just moves slow or loads up very slow, like - when loading a project in adobe software even if its a bit heavy it still takes way too long for it to save or to load.
what is the problem here? not strong enough CPU? not enough RAM? not using a pure SSD?
help please!!

I"m going to state that your iMac needs more RAM installed.
The newest Mac OSes use a lot more computer resources.
Apple only installs enough base RAM to allow their OSes to run nominally smooth.
8 GBs of RAM is enough to run macOS Sierra at that is it!
You will need to install more RAM to run Adobe applications and Final Cut.
Your iMac is simply starved for RAM resources.
Your year and model iMac can take, at least, up to 16 GBs of RAM.
Correct and reliable Mac RAM can ONLY be purchased from online Mac RAM sources Crucial memory (crucial.com) or OWC (macsales.com).
https://eshop.macsales.com/shop/memory/iMac/Retina-5K2015/DDR3L
RAM should be relatively easy to install.

Good Luck!
