Q: Latest iTunes Upgrade - Layout Problems

Hi Community,

Hopefully you can help with the attached.

Since upgrading to iTunes 10 I have noticed a few issues relating to Sidebar filtering with regards to artist duplication and missing artwork on the artist tab.

I generally view my library by albums, but lately have been using the artists tab more.

  1. I notice that when viewing in artists, the circle “artwork” tab beside many of the artist overviews is blank? On albums, artwork is there and preferred artwork has already been allocated by putting the 'top rating' against an album. Problem is, when I view by artists, artwork is not showing up in the main browser column against many artists and I can’t seem to fix? It simply shows a microphone.

Secondly, when I view in Albums I may have for example a sole album against an artist. In the case of my DJ l             library this could be 1500 tracks simply all with “Techno Library” as the album. When I view in album, a sole      display and then it drops down all the tracks within it. However when I view the artists tab it is perhaps listing 15      artists all of the same name i.e. ‘Techno’, with tracks within each. I’ve seen this previously and have gone through      the whole remaining the album artist of all tracks, changing it to something different, changing back etc but it      doesn’t work. I’ve even tried deleting the tracks, re-importing which can work, but then when I add an addition in      the future it creates a new artist?

Very strange that all seems well when view by album but when viewed by artists we have multiple artists of same      name?

I have iTunes Match and Apple Music if that helps anyone?

Bug 2 seems to have been around for some time but perhaps there is a fix I’m not aware of as yet?

Appreciate your help with the attached folks

     Simon.
