Q: Is it possible to amend the play count in a song on iTunes?

I have replaced some tracks and want to retain the previous number of plays within Songs on iTunes

How can I do it?

Just to be clear, I'm referring here to amending and not resetting to zero (which I can see a number of other users have asked).

I'm suspecting the answer is that it can't be done.

See if there's a script on the Dougscripts web site which can do it.

The other way if you still have the entry for the replaced track is to try to play the broken link, then when it asks you to indicate a file point to the new file. Old data for playcount will be retained.
