Q: App get hanged when trying to update it on iPhone 7

I am currently using iPhone 7 with latest iOS 10.0.2.

 

Recently I was trying to update "Google Maps" app and it gets hanged for non-known reason. The app just hanged there without any progress and I have tried to pause it, cancel the update process, turned off both Wifi and Mobile Data but all attempts failed. I did shut it down and reboot it again but it was not working too. Finally, I have uninstalled the "Google Maps" and hopefully can get it re-download from App store again BUT unfortunately the Apple App store still showing that the "Google Maps" app is in updating progress!!

 

Besides, I have tried "Reset All Settings" but it does not help too.

 

Now I just stacked in the middle of nowhere. The "Google Maps" has been uninstalled from my phone and I can't install it from Apple App Store too!!!

 

The "Google Maps" is very important for me! Please help! Thanks a lot!

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. It seems like you want to install an app onto the iPhone 7 but it is not finishing. It sounds like you are installing it over the air. One thing we can try is to install it through iTunes. 
 

In addition to downloading apps directly to your iOS device from the App Store, you can download the apps to your computer and use iTunes to sync them to your iPod touch, iPhone, or iPad.​

iTunes for Mac: Sync and organize iOS apps

    Hi Irina,

     

    Thanks a lot!! It is working! Just that the "Google Maps" in Apple App Store still showing "Updating In-Progress" status through my iPhone. Maybe I will need to update it using my computer and sync it again using iTunes whenever there is new update available.
