Replace first edition Apple Watch with new edition

When you do so it will create a backup of the Watch. Click on the link on the top that you came here from, Set up your Apple Watch and follow the instructions.

Unpair your original Apple Watch using the Watch app on your iPhone:

• Your watch will be backed up to your iPhone before being erased.
• As part of the process, Activation Lock will also be removed from the watch (unless this is done, the new owner will be unable to use it).

Then pair your new Apple Watch, choosing the option to Restore from Backup during set up:

• Most data and settings will be restored, with some exceptions (eg Apple Pay cards, passcode).
