In the Apple Watch app on iPhone there is an option to toggle on/off the notifications that will appear on Apple Watch. I have turned off the option to mirror my iPhone for several apps including Instagram but I continue to get notifications on my watch. Anyone else having this issue?

First try the following steps, which should help:
Toggle the Notifications setting on and then off again for each affected app, allowing a few moments in between.
Close the Watch app and then restart both your iPhone and your watch:
If the issue then persists, it may help to unpair and re-pair your watch:
The Watch app on your iPhone takes a backup of your watch automatically when unpairing via the app. Choose to Restore from Backup during set up. Most data and settings will be restored, with some exceptions (eg Apple Pay cards, passcode).
Thanks for the reply. I've attempted the steps above multiple times at the advice of an Ape support chat but still having the issue.
