iTunes does not work after updating to Sierra

Bought some albums on iTunes. ITunes is in a loop and nothing seems to be downloading. I've force-quit it (indicates that it is not responding) and restarted and same thing happens. I did upgrade to Sierra today, not sure if that is a factor.

MacBook Pro, OS X El Capitan (10.11.3)
