Macbook Pro performance awful

My MacBook performance has been slowing for some time, but has seriously declined following Sierra update. I have run EtreCheck and would really appreciate some help interpreting the results.

Thanks

Greetings cojax1,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. It seems like you have quite a few launch items that are using your available RAM. There are a few things we can do to improve the systems performance. I would recommend you read these articles, they may be able to help troubleshoot the issue.

macOS Sierra: If your Mac runs slowly
You can try booting into safe mode and is if the issue persists. If it does not we can remove some login items.
Try safe mode if your Mac doesn't finish starting up
macOS Sierra: Login Items pane of Users & Groups System Preferences
Take care.

If the above suggestions don't improve performance as much as you would like, consider upgrading RAM to 8GB. You also have a fairly small hard drive. If it's the drive that came with the computer, it is probably a slow 5400 rpm drive. You could give your system a boost by installing a larger, faster drive. The biggest improvement would be seen if you add a SSD, but a 7200 rpm drive would also help: a 1 TB Hitachi is about $70.
