Better to not use third party password managers. Your Mac stores passwords in the Keychain Access Utility located in /Applications/Utilities.

Make sure AutoFill user names and passwords is selected in Safari > Preferences > Passwords.

When you visit a website and enter your login data, you should be prompted to save that data to a new keychain.

On the other hand 😉, if you need a password manager that supports Windows and Android as well as Mac and iOS devices, DashLane is an outstanding choice and works perfectly with Safari.
