iPod
Q: How to get my ipod nano to play audiobook in order??
I went through a bunch of similar questions without finding the exact issue. Please link to such if
you find it. I just got a 5 CD audiobook from Amazon. I have a cervical spine issue that makes looking down to read extremely difficult and painful. So, I get audiobooks when I really need to read something. I very much need to get through this book. I don't have a way to listen to CD on the go so I popped them cd's into the external drive and used itunes to import them. Because it was 5 cd's each one numbered the tracks from 1-? and so to prevent having 5 #1's and so on, I renamed each one so that I have 1-60 tracks numbered correctly. I put them on the ipod and it scrambles the order!!! It shuffled it. It's useless like this. I just restored the ipod and tried again and found a setting to no randomly choose as it autofills from the playlist I made. But it STILL put the tracks back where the old ones were even though I'd restored it (supposedly deleting the old tracks and their order). Isn't there any way to change the order so the book plays properly?? It is an older ipod but this seems like a serious flaw. Even without the intent to listen to audiobooks on one of these, people often like to hear songs in order. I don't have it set to shuffle on the manual switch btw.
iMac, OS X Yosemite (10.10.2), add a system check/compatibility
